Artist Series concert Sunday, August 2, 2026 at 5pm – Flute Recital

Miguel is a recent graduate of Northwestern’s Bienen School of Music where he earned his BM in Music Education and Flute Performance. While at Northwestern, Miguel’s primary teachers were John Thorne, Alyce Johnson, and Jennifer Gunn.

Miguel serves as a substitute musician with the Rockford, South Bend, Quad-Cities, Elgin and Kansas City Symphonies. Passionate about Music Education, Miguel has spent the last year teaching 5th and 6th grade band in Elgin, IL. In the fall, Miguel will be attending Carnegie Mellon University to pursue a masters degree in Flute Performance.
