The purpose of Youth and Family Ministry at Shepherd of the Prairie is to help grow and nurture the faith of our children, which is accomplished through five key ways:

• Faith is formed through personal, trusted relationships
• The church is a living partnership between home and the congregation
• Home is church, too
• Faith is caught more than taught
• It takes Christian parents and other adults to raise Christian children.

We build our relationships with God ad each other through caring conversations, devotions, service and rituals and traditions.

As a support to the parents in guiding their child on the journey of Confirmation, we provide AAA (Authentic, Available, and Affirming) adults within the Confirmation program.
